Pipe-in-pipe for the heat duty
Consider flow and cleaning
Viscous, solids-laden or fouling-prone media place special demands on heat transfer and flow cross-sections. In these applications, a double-pipe heat exchanger can be an appropriate design.
TARVO Solutions designs double-pipe heat exchangers for the specific heating or cooling task. In addition to the temperature program, we consider the process stream, material properties, permissible pressure drop and expected fouling.
Connections, installation length and access for maintenance or cleaning are also incorporated into the design.
For preliminary design, the mass or volume flow, inlet and outlet temperatures, heating or cooling medium, operating pressure, and information about viscosity, solids and fouling behavior are helpful.
For a replacement heat exchanger, data for the existing unit and the available installation situation are important.
This information allows us to assess whether a double-pipe heat exchanger is technically appropriate for the task.
